Information for Trainees
Following information is intended to provide information regarding training to those who participate in ThinkSAFE Maldives training.
Training Details
Kindly ensure that all information entered in the Training Registry is accurate and complete, as it will appear exactly as submitted on the training certificate. If your company is responsible for submitting this information on your behalf, please make sure they are provided with the correct details. Please be advised that any request for certificate reprints due to inaccurate or incomplete information will be subject to additional charges.
The training program will comprise approximately 70% hands-on practical activities and 30% theoretical instruction. Participants should be prepared for active physical engagement throughout the session. Where relevant, the training will follow the standards and procedures established in the European Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
Assessment
This training will employ continuous assessment methods; a separate written examination will not be conducted unless specifically stated. Trainers will complete an assessment sheet during the session, evaluating each participant’s competency in real time. The assessment criteria will include:
1. Attendance and punctuality
2. Active participation during the session
3. Demonstrated competency in required skills
Certificates will be issued promptly upon full settlement of payment.
CPR is one of the most critical skills covered in first aid training, and all participants are required to achieve a minimum score of 80% in the assessment. If you have a physical condition that may prevent you from successfully completing the CPR and other hands-on components, we recommend joining a future session when you are physically able to fully participate in the practical activities.
Attendance
A minimum of 90% attendance is required to fulfill the certification criteria. In cases where a participant is unable to meet this requirement due to unavoidable circumstances, a valid justification must be provided. In such instances, the decision to issue a certificate will be based on the participant’s performance in the following assessment criteria:
1. Participation during the session
2. Demonstrated competency in required skills
as well as the trainer’s recommendation.
Please note that no refunds will be issued for participants who do not attend, attend only partially, or withdraw from the training after the application deadline has passed.
Clothing
Participants are advised to wear comfortable and practical clothing for the training sessions. The activities will involve movements such as bending, lying down, lifting, and role-playing; therefore, attire should allow for ease of movement and not restrict participation. Individuals who wear the hijab should ensure it is securely fastened to prevent any interference, particularly during CPR and other hands-on exercises.
Breaks
Scheduled breaks will be provided for meals and prayers. It is essential that all participants return to the session promptly after each break. Starting on time ensures that we can complete the training as planned and respects the time of those who arrive punctually. We kindly ask everyone to uphold this standard of punctuality. Please also be aware that excessive absences from the session may result in not being awarded the certificate.
Cleanliness
Please ensure that classroom is always kept clean. Do not litter. Ensure training equipment are always cleaned or folded after the session. Unless otherwise informed, no footwear should be worn inside the classroom.
